Fantastic album! Great voice.
What a fabulous album. I originally bought it because I had listened to the sound clip of"Is you Is or Is you aint my baby" and loved it. The other songs are just as fantastic. From her funky version of "Centerpiece", to the soulful rendition of "In the wee small hours", Ms. Pederson's haunting voice is sure to capitvate you.

the best there is!
Wendy has a voice that really means something - in a world full of would-be divas and churning, bombastic shouters, she brings a sense of the real to whatever she sings. Yes, she has ancrdible chops and can sing whatever she wants to, but the phrasing and tone colors she chooses do nothing but highlight her ultra musical approach. Check out especially her New Orleans treatment of Love for Sale and then take time to savor her renditon of In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning!
