Album Notes

Resophonic guitar has it's irreplaceable existence in the history of popular music and its typical sound can be found in almost all music styles - country, bluegrass, Hawaii, blues, folk, jazz, rock, etc. This is one of the reasons why we - fans of this unique music instrument, the roots of which are in Slovakia where John Dopyera (1893-1988), the inventor of this instrument was born, decided to found an independent association called The World Resophonic Association (WRA). The Resophonic Players of Europe 2005 Compilation CD has been created to explore these roots and its reach into future directions. Features over 1 hour of Resophonic Roots Indie Music of Europe.

Very interesting to hear so many diverse players of the reso
Very interesting to have the opportunity to hear resophonic musicians from so many different parts of the world on one CD. The musical styles are varied from traditional blues through ragtime, more modern styles and experimental. Well worth a listen.

Brian (UK)

Many different styles.Gives you a good idea of what other slide players are doing and it gives you some ideas for your own playing.Really enjoy listening to it.
