ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“This guy is genuine, and his songs are a part of his life. Rarely do I encounter music as unaffected and heartfelt. If you like Rockin’ Cowboy Country & Western, this will make you smile.” ~ Kenny Vaughan, Guitarist for Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives

I am extremely proud of my cowboy heritage. The best times of my life have always involved the activities around horses and cattle. The boots on the front cover of this album are my Twisted X work boots. They’ve seen some marvelous miles. The scars and patches came from years of the good daily grind. When I write songs, it’s usually a reflection of my charmed life on the wide-open northern plains of Montana. As an artist, the biggest pat-on-the-back that I can get is when a working cowboy or cowgirl comes up to me after a show and tells me how much they appreciate our music. This album is a collection of songs that has been inspired by the hard and beautiful life of the ranching West. My goal has always been to keep it real. I hope these melodies rise sweet and familiar to lovers of the cowboy way.

Wylie Gustafson is a real-life cowboy and horseman born into a 4th generation ranching family on the empty sprawl of Northern Montana. He remains one of the few authentic contemporary American cowboy singers who steadfastly celebrates the overlooked and under-appreciated culture of the North American ranch and farm community.
