ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Act II picks up after the cliffhanger ending of Act I, in which a massive battle leaves brothers Thanos and Sindr separated, and their beloved Vera dead. Mournful, yearning, and powerful; this episode of the ever-expanding mythos of Xanthochroid delivers the promised metal onslaught absent from Act I. A deeply personal and tragic journey, Act II creates a world of its own for the listener.

"Of Erthe and Axen" takes Xanthochroid's theatrical concepts to a higher level, evoking the grandeur, bombast, and vulnerability of a live stage performance. More extreme, yet more delicate; more vast, yet more intimate; Xanthochroid's "Of Erthe and Axen" attempts to further broaden the horizons established in their acclaimed debut.
