ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
As the power was taken from the people, the rise of the elite continued to create a stronghold. The True Owners behind the curtain set up Fauxcrats who appear to work for the people, but only use them as a tool for the Great Machine.

Xposed 4Heads URGENCY SQUAD reaches further to make an Art SynthPop CONCEPT album that references the '80's and is fresh and relevant to day. The 4Heads again reach out of Milwaukee to interesting guest artists such as Deborah Evans, the iconic voice from The Flying Lizards (Money), Grammy winning Frank London from the Klezmatics and dirty bone player extraordinaire, Al Mothersbaugh (Cousin to the Mothersbaugh's that created Devo).

THIS IS OUR PROTEST ALBUM

Urgency Squad is an album for our times, telling the story of the people rising up to fight the oppressive powers that try to divide us. Conceived by Mark G.E., the album takes the listener on a journey with wry, witty lyrics and social commentary while still keeping tongue in cheek and feet on the dance floor. Anyone who has seen their live show knows that the band is a fun, high energy mix culminating in an Art SynthPop Disco party with a unique mix of neo-retro space girls, sci-fi props and mass market sloganeering.

OPEN THE CAGE, I'M NOT YOUR MONKEY!

As the 4Heads planned the album, they were listening to music from industrial and educational training films, corporate and fascist state music themes and bands like Human League, Devo, Gary Numan, OMD, B52's, Duran Duran, Adam Ant, David Bowie and Roxy Music. X4 set out to create a substantial artistic work. In their statement of resistance, they wanted to fuse cold electronic themes with their catchy, danceable music. Lyricist, Mark G.E. collected slogans, marketing phrases and motivational language in order to subvert them for a satirical take on our current experience.

I SEE A WORLD THAT INCLUDES EVERYONE

In the last few years XPOSED 4HEADS has appeared at the DEVOtional, the annual DEVO Festival in Cleveland, released the full-length Choose to Be Human and the 7" Red Vinyl Dumb Music for Smart People, and created an iconic video for their Halloween song Save All Monsters. Their music has been played by Dr. Demento, Little Steven's Underground Garage, the Church of the SubGenius' Hour of Slack and DJs all over the world!
