ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In this life, we don't live long, before we get gone
gotta give strong, gotta keep strong,
keep keeping on, ah, ah on, ahah on, ah ah, oh yeeeeah.

(Yaiva’s first verse)
See how we put it down solid, its like gravity, the pattern of a true emcee. We bust like tired from 18 wheel trucks…all over the road, hazardous, the catalyst. The affects of rhyming wreck less leaves our kids living for a platinum neck less, for 24’s on a Lexus, with distorted views of what respect is, when educating and healing ain’t appealing, when stacking chips to the ceiling have more meaning than balanced relations.
Gotta change the stations, I can’t look back, gotta move forward
Cuz it seems our children are always under attack.

(B-Dub’s first verse)
We take it back to the roots, this is one for the truth, we got to know where were going, and than we’ll lace our boots. You can’t blame the youth if we don’t teach the children.
We got to make the bricks before we make the building. B-Dub from the Summit,
Yaiva repping for this town, 4th World and Green House, you know how we get down.
You got to be strong in the Babylon, the popular value system and thinking is all wrong
Mass media illusion, leaving youth all confused when, confronted with the choice and our culture is losing. Battered and bruised, but undefeated, still fighting. The pen is still mighty like the sword, were still writing, stay strong….

(Yaiva’s second verse)
See how we be vibing of the hi-hats, the bass drops, pop and lock, the head nodding don’t stop. This style-ee never make your feet lock, it make your whole body rock. Everybody talk but everybody don’t walk it out. Now how real we gonna get, its all relative, but in the purest form, we receive what we give, are blessed by how we live. Can’t point one out bout what they did, cuz we gotta remind us, it’s not our job to judge, it’s our job to love, so when push comes to shove and they ask me bout all of the above. Gotta tell ya, I’m trying to live and understand the true meaning of one-one-one-one love. All praises to the most high.

(B-Dub’s first verse)
No we don’t live long, this old fire lives forever. We keep it blazing hot in any type of weather. We keep keeping on, keep singing old songs, we keep the people moving and we bless a new dawn.
