Album Notes
As the story goes, on a brisk autumn night in 1943 our four founding fathers climbed to the top of Saybrook Tower and serenaded the Yale campus with "Sally in Our Alley." Since then, the Alley Cats have crafted over 350 arrangements, released dozens of albums, and traveled around the globe over fifty times. Today we enjoy singing contemporary hits as well as numbers that have been in our group for generations. The choreography, humor, and musicality we bring merge to create a uniquely enjoyable experience that has entertained audiences around the world. We've performed for President Obama, her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and Queen Silvia of Sweden; we've appeared on Martha Stewart Living, opened for Jay Leno, sung with Kristin Chenoweth, performed for Stella McCartney, and been praised as "Mm-mm delicious" by Aretha Franklin herself. But above all else, nothing is as treasured by the Cats as returning home to fill the beloved halls of Yale with song.
