Yarrow - Music In The Rain - EP
I've been listening to Yarrow for many years now, and this is an exquisite compilation, showcasing their originality, and musicality. An EP set of six dreamlike melodies... The duo consists of Lisa and Don Biggar, who run a beautiful flower farm in Maryland. They have been married for 22 years, and have been making original music together for at least that long. I admire Lisa's lilting, ethereal vocals, woven together by Don's subtle harmonies, and precise guitar work. Beginning with Molly, a wonderfully insightful song about a woman free, followed by the uplifting Take Me Train. Snow Falling On My April captures the hope of a new Springtime. The title track Music In The Rain is emotionally moving. Then, aptly named Fires, ponders life's ironies. Finally, Hold On, a hopefully romantic tune for aging together. Consequently, this is a five star album.
