ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Youth Brass Band Of Central Florida came into existence in the fall of 2008 as an educational project of the Brass Band Of Central Florida. It brings together the top brass band and percussion students in the Central Florida area and introduces them to the rich heritage of the brass band tradition and the wealth of musical repertoire written for this type of ensemble. So what happens when you take a group of talented teenagers representing 15 different high schools and bring them together to make music? The answer is found in the contents of this CD.

The music represents a diverse set of compositions from great fanfares such as John WIlliams, "Olympic Fanfare & Theme" to "Hit The Road Jack" by Percy Mayfield and "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. With an average age of 16 on this performance, most of the music was considered classical for the performers. The CD closes with the ensemble's favorite, that TV classic theme from the "Muppet Show". Sit back and enjoy some truly wonderful music making as these kids rock!
