Album Notes
Some songs on this album and the album as a whole have been 10 years in the making and form a part of her forthcoming debut album titled, 'The Word of My Testimony'. With a special affection for soul and jazz, Yemi teamed up with a highly talented pianist and producer, Precious Obimdi, drummer Feranmi Oguns, Percussionist Jozef Berk , and guitarist Ben Trickey, for live instrumental recordings on three of the tracks. Particular attention has been paid to her song choices, due to her years of brokenness. She chose Halleluyah Praise Him, to celebrate the Lord, What Else Can I Ask, as a declaration of faith, Dry Bones Live, a prayer and testimony, Pour Out Your Spirit Lord, a supplication for empowerment and strength, Your Word Abides in me, a look beyond worship on earth, to worship at His feet, and Fill My Heart with Love Songs, as a prayer to lead into praise and worship that hopes for God’s presence.
