Music

Throughout history, music has played a vital role in creating social change from labor unions, to revolutions, to consciousness raising in order to wage peace and love. Great visionary musicians like Woodie Guthrie, Mutabaruka, Bob Marley and John Lennon knew the power of music to reach a mass audience, and used it very effectively to get out their messages.

Yohe Basumine Mbuyu is a modern-day Bob Marley, a Congolese reggae singer, songwriter and producer who launched the concept of Promote Humanity as a way to raise awareness about the serious problems facing his home country and the rest of the world. After escaping war and human rights abuse in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and coming to the US in 1999, he produced several CDs, as well as laid the framework for a clothing line using hemp fabric and his original designs. To enable the raise of funds, to secure logistics and lands for this PROMOTE HUMANITY PROJECT in the US and worldwide, Yohe is looking for 10,000,000 Million downloads from the sale of the Single Be like a Rastaman to support this socio-humanitarian project.
Yohe recently returned to the Congo where he just finished making his first music video from the same Single Be like a Rastaman from his next album “The Legend of Hope “coming out soon!

There are numerous bands, in countries all around the world that are socially conscious and seeking to create a better world, and could benefit from coalescing around the Promote Humanity movement and platform. There are also organization like World Music and Putumayo etc which could assist (e.g. be a venue for a live concert, coupled with the live stream of a performance in another country)

Given so many musicians don’t have the means or visas to travel; we are looking for a potent $10,000,000 (Ten Million Dollars) in term to secure this project and bring a message of Peace and Love at your doors.
