This record is a record of the process I went through since I started making music, and it summarizes the work and collaborations I made during this process. It is my struggle to create music that I like listening to and that will hopefully make other people feel what I feel when I’m listening to music that I like.

I want to thank Gabriel, Alon, Tal, Noam, and Ofri for having such a powerful impact on the music I wrote. Thank you for your brilliant ideas that made this music so much richer and more colorful, and the infinte amount of hours you spent learning, playing, and thinking about this music. These words cannot describe but a tiny bit of the gratitude that I feel towards you.

Thank you to my mom and dad, Adi, Carmel, Sadecia, Tzafrir, Levia, Tal, Meirav, and Savta Ya’ara for being my family and supporting me endlessly in every way possible.

And last but not least to the guest artists and friends that contributed to this album in some way or another: Erez, Itamar, Rogerio, Julia, Yumi, Shachar, David J., Benja, Nick, Ofri P., Roy, Gadi, Tom, France, Lau, Omri, Gregoire, Dana, Pia, Jeff, Hanna, Roni.

Without you this album would have never come to life!

The Swamp Song (track 5)
I am walking on a narrow and rickety bridge
over an endless, boggy swamp
of fear and despair.
There are days in which the scenery is so beautiful
and the air is so fresh and pleasant,
that for a moment I forget where I am.
Suddenly I lose balance
and I fall into the swamp.

Song for an Ant (track 7)
A short song for an ant
that worked so hard.
Every day and every hour
she worked and didn’t stop.
This is a song for an ant.

I Didn’t Reach the Light by Windfall (Track 9)
I didn't reach the light by windfall,
Not even inherited it from my father.
But from my rock and flint I hewed it,
I quarried it from my heart.

One spark in the mine of my heart is hiding,
A small spark – but it’s all mine.
I neither borrowed it from anybody, nor stole it –
Because it came from me, and it is inside of me.

All compositions, arrangments, and lyrics by Yotam Ben-Or except lyrics on
track 9 by H.N. Bialik.
