Album Notes
Formed by friends old and new, Young is a band that is focused on the future, and doesn’t forget to take pride in the past. Recently birthed in Minneapolis, Young is comprised of high school friends Mitch Johnson (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar), Aaron Olson (Bass), and Tyler Torrison (Drums). Rounding out the quartet is the newly acquired lead guitarist Mike Drager. For the past 5 years, all four members have been playing under various monikers with varied success until they finally decided to join forces. Playing a blend of twangy Americana and pop-rock, the group is looking to create a sound that--fused with a few throwbacks--is entirely their own. No ironic statements, no overt theatrics, just some good ole’ tunes.

The newest release from Young, Now in Hi-Fi, was co-written by Mitch Johnson and Mike Drager. It was produced by Eric Arjes of Camera Can't Lie (Atlantic Records) and recorded at Room2Studios and the Relic Room in Minneapolis, MN. Lastly, all of the album art was designed by Tyge Christiansen.
