Chris “Chariz” Contreras out of Vallejo, CA. has been rapping, singing, and producing music since he was 11 years old. His first musical projects started off with a local group known as “Groundbasics.” Chariz signed a deal with the record label Go Bigg Music Group in the summer of 2009, with hopes of taking it to the next level. That same year, he released his first project with Go Bigg Music Group entitled “The Resurrection.” The very popular record “Rock the Party” was debuted on the International TV network MYXTV and has also topped the charts as the #1 song on Canada’s Winnepeg FM radio station, 104.7 for three weeks. Songs such as Baby What You Drinkin’, A Toast, A couple racks, Block in me have all had weekly rotation on KMEL’s hometurf radio show. 2010 was a very busy year for Chariz releasing the mixtape “Checkmate” in Feb., the very popular collaborative album with SMG’s Mike Dash E entitled “The Funeral”, “The Leader of the New School, and his most recent EP The End Is Near i
