Album Notes
Original soundtrack recording of Yuval Ron's innovative score for the full length feature documentary "Proteus - A 19th Century Vision" (2003). Proteus was conceived as a film in which images, words and music would be tightly woven and given equal weight. Film director David Lebrun and composer Yuval Ron worked together over the course of two years to shape an ambitious score that is both true to the period of the film and entirely contemporary in its sound.

Truley fasinating
I saw the film and was instantly struck by the music. I really love this CD. The combination between the Chamber orchestra and the ambient sounds he creates is just a whole new way to experience music.

beautiful
This soundtrack is a little different from Yuval Ron's usual Worldly style, but it is certainly no less captivating and beautiful. You can sense his usual poly-rhythmic and out-of-the-box style but in a more classic way. I never saw the movie, but heard the soundtrack at a friend's and rushed home to order it for myself. It takes a role as our nightly dinner music.
