Album Notes

Yvonne Bloor is an accomplished classical guitar performer and teacher based in Leicestershire in the UK Midlands.

A licentiate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the London College of Music, she studied guitar with Professor Michael Lewin — of the Royal Academy of Music — and the eminent guitarists Nicola Hall andCraig Ogden, principal lecturer in guitar at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Yvonne’s playing career has included concerts in the UK and abroad, broadcasts on BBC Radio, and performances in master classes for such renowned guitarists as Gary Ryan, Carlos Bonell, John Mills, and Simon Dinnigan.

'Promise' is collection of 6 original solo guitar compositions, created for easy listening.

"Here is a pleasant and melodic recital of the player's own compositions. They are tuneful and immediate and make for relaxing listening.  Some of my pupils would love to get their hands on these pieces. The recording is wonderfully clear and warm and the playing is first rate. This is essentially a most successful recording."
