ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The 2005 Ambush Entertainment comedy/horror film "Dead and Breakfast" introduced the world to the comedic talents of Zach Selwyn and the original musical composition of his country-hip-hop band ZACHARIAH and the LOBOS RIDERS.

Selwyn is featured throughout the film performing transitional musical numbers and narrating the action as it plods along. Director Matthew Leutwyler commissioned Selwyn and his band to write and perform three original songs for the film as well as the transitional pieces. The result was "Were Comin To Kill Ya," "Quiet Little Town" and "Possessed (Is The Way To Be).

Selwyn performed the transitional pieces during the filming of the movie in 2003.

The film premiered at the 2004 South by Southwest Film Festival and garnered immediate release from Ambush Entertainment. It has won many awards and the official website is www.dandbfilm.com.

"The film is constructed like a cross between NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY. Noted songwriter Zach Selwyn provides laugh out loud songs throughout the film similar in the way the Farrelly Brothers used musicians within THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY performing their own songs." - Mantaraypictures.com

Killer tunes!
I don't like country music. Can't stand it, really. But country music about zombies? How can you resist? The movie was great, made even moreso by the music. I immediately pimped out both to my friends, spreading the love like a zombie plague.

GOTTA MAKE YA SMILE
THE MUSIC MADE THE MOVIE
I haven't HAD to get a soundtrack to a movie since The Lost Boys, ages ago. But this cd was a requirement to our collection. Ever feeling down, just pop this puppy in and you've got to start grinning.

Killer --- literally!!
This is the soundtrack to what is perhaps possibly one of the best tongue-in-cheek black-comedy zombie movies featuring musical narration from a hip-hop cowboy and starring 2 members of the Carradine clan made in the last five years.

Irregardless of that (and yes, I realize "irregardless" isn't a "real" word), this CD rULES! Zachariah (a/k/a "the rhyme messiah" with "hair like Billy Squire") is, truly "crazier than Mariah", and he waves his freak-flag high with this release.

Barring breaking into his home and stealing a copy of this from his office closet (on the left) where he stores them (in a brown cardboard box), this purchase is the BEST way to hear this amazing music from Zachariah, the bastard offspring of Jesus H. Parsons and Hunter S. Thompson (in drag).

Needs a Jewel case.
The cd is pretty good. If it had a jewel case & full artwork it would be much better. I hate buying albums in CD sleves, I would have paid $3 more if it had been full.

Fantastic!
There is almost *too* much awesome on this CD. Seriously. I find myself singing to it every time it's in my CD player (which is quite frequent, I might add).
