ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Zekuhl captivates and enthralls us through his unique Afro Bolbo Jazz. Keep faithful with the richness of traditional Cameroonian music of Central Africa, Atna Njock, aka Zekuhl, presents a beautiful, rousing album that takes the listener on a voyage through afro-jazz, afro-beat, song, and world music. Sung in French, English and Bàsàa, his native tongue, “Í Bòló” speaks of the "effort" required each day to improve our lives. An excellent guitarist, Atna Njock is also a Master of the Nkuu, an ancestral drum called the African Telephone which reproduces spoken language. The presence of the language of the Nkuu, unveiled in this opus, gives rise to unique and unusual arrangements.
