ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Zen Bastards present "live from the skybar" the long awaited follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut disc, "April Fool" released on 7A Records. This exciting set of new music is taken from over 24 hours of live tracks recorded during their 18 month residency at the SkyBar in Somerville, MA between August and December of 2001. "live from the skybar" continues to document the band's development during their long standing Monday night residency. Compositionally direct and stylistically varied, this disc picks up where April Fool left off. Showcasing the core quartet, "live from the skybar" features 9 musical journeys that touch upon ambient electronica, straight ahead jazz, latin, blues, rock and the avant garde .
