ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Zengeance is a three-piece high school band centered in Cape Town. Inspired by anything from cool jazz to deathmetal, we play our own mix of blues-, funk-, psychedelic-, indie-, pop-, garage- and punkrock. We're still trying to get started by playing gigs wherever we find them. In 2015 we released our debut EP, Black Pistol. In 2017 we've had the privilege of recording a full length album produced by Albert Frost.

The band was born when guitarist and lead singer Erick Zulch convinced his best friends, Wian Brand and Lafras Uys, to form a band with him. When Lafras learned to play the drums, and Wian purchased a bass guitar, the band was underway.

We've played at locations including Hangklip Hotel, Jamrock Theatre in Bellville, Aandklas in Stellenbosch and Hillcrest Quarry. We have opened for hard rocking De Wallen and legendary band, Jack Hammer. We were fortunate enough to have been invited to the Zeegunst New Year's Fest twice and also played at Malkop Festival in 2016.
