Album Notes
What happens when you dream out loud? For Zen Tempest, hip-hop happens. His uniquely honest and introspective music is the direct result of his grappling with the human condition. Consider it therapy over drumbeats. The lyrical content of his work is designed to catalyze conscious catharsis and evolution through contemplative emotional release. His intention with the music is to stimulate simultaneous feelings of empowerment and acceptance, to dynamically deconstruct the collective victim mentality we all struggle with, one word at a time.

We all need to move energy. Some do it through music or dance, others through language or visual art. The beautiful thing about hip-hop as a counter culture is that it incorporates all of these strategies and more. The way Zen sees it, rap is his contribution to our modern social revolution, the revolution that is taking place in all of our hearts each and every day. His music begs the question of those who listen, "How do you fit into this world? What's your unique contribution? What's your bliss? Why are you here, and what are you doing to nurture that passion?"

May this music water seeds within you. May they grow into strong plants that will bud and blossom for you and the world.
