ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Lemko Traditional song. Lemkos are a ethno-linguistic group from poland. In our version, beautiful slow vocal harmonies intro
are taking us to a up tempo brass band "oomh-pah" quite traditional feel.

This song is about a young couple. Where the man is scything on the mountain while his girlfriend is in the village thinking about him.

[Him]
Scything is going well to a man,
who gets meals brought by his girl.
It would be going well also to me,
if I got meals brought by my girl too.

[Her]
There's a hollow stump up on the mountain,
and also my darling with his curly hair.
His curls are bouncing on his head,
and brown little eyes are crying after him.

My darling is not lazy,
he has bought himself a crooked comb.
He combs his curls,
So that he won't become bold.
