Album Notes
Ying was born in China and has performed with the Starling Chamber Orchestra, China Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra, and the orchestras of Hang Zhou, Tian Jin, Wuhan, Xi Ning, and the Lan Zhou in China. Ms. Zhang has many prizes include a first prize at the Dorothy Richard Starling Scholarship Competition and the Great Wall International Music Festival Concerto Competition, China, and the National Violin Competition in China. Zhang currently plays on a violin by Carl Becker courtesy of Dixon Stein Violins in Chicago.

Rohan De Silva, born in Sri Lanka, has world wide recital partnerships with violin virtuosos Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman, Cho-Liang Lin, Midori, Joshua Bell, Benny Kim, Kyoko Takezawa, Vadim Repin, Gil Shaham, Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, and Julian Rachlin. Mr. De Silva joined the collaborative arts and chamber music faculty of The Juilliard School in 1991, and in 1992 was awarded honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music. His numerous radio and television credits include The Colbert Report and The Tonight Show with Midori. He has recorded for Deutsche Grammophon, CBS/SONY Classical, Collins Classics in London, and RCA Victor.
