Album Notes
Bryan Zive and his band, "Kol Echad" (translated to English as "One Voice") brings a new unique style to the Reform Jewish movement. They have performed in various synagogues, camp institutes, Jewish Community Centers and Hillels around the world.

Bryan began composing music in his late teens and has continued to produce contemporary musical interpretations of liturgy and Torah. His main goal is to combine people's love for music and Judaism to form an incredible spiritual foundation. He uses his music to set the mood for adults and children alike, merging traditional liturgy, Jewish themes and modern contemporary music to help them become more connected with their Jewish identities. His style has been called a combination of musical styles of artists such as James Taylor, Ben Folds and Bon Jovi "Kol Echad" began performing and leading prayer services in 2003 and have lead concerts or services in cities such as Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Rio De Janiero, Denver and San Francisco. Bryan has also opened for the Rick Recht Band and has performed with other Jewish musicians such as Dan Nichols, Mah Tovu, Danny Maseng and Rabbi Joe Black. In addition, Bryan has been the Head Songleader and Music Director at URJ Camp Newman-Swig and Goldman Union Camp Institute.

In June 2004, Bryan released a five-song demo album, a collection of newly composed Jewish music that includes guest Jewish musicians Noam Katz and Marc Rossio. Songs such as "Angel" and "Hareiu" have already become hits and are currently used as normal repertoire in services and song sessions at camps and synagogues. Produced by Josh Nelson, 2008 brought the release of their first full-length in-studio album, "It's No Dream" to rave reviews. The album features popular songs "Rock and Redeemer", "Or Zarua" and "V'al Kulam". Bryan and Kol Echad are excited to release their second-full length album of contemporary music titled "Follow in My Footsteps", scheduled for release in early Fall 2010.

Bryan and Kol Echad are greatly looking forward to seeing, singing and jamming out with you in your community very soon!

This CD Rocks!
Bryan Zive and his band, "Kol Echad" have put out
A delightful CD which I really enjoy listening to.
As busy as I am with my own music, I always have time for fine music like this. "Rock and Redeemer" really speaks to me. It's so forward
reaching and always feels like it's moving in the right direction. Praise to Josh Nelson for the production end of this project. I just find myself with a grin on my face while listening to "It's no dream." These guys are welcome to perform on my TV show any time. This production was put together with a lot of thought, and Bryan Zive's voice is very pleasing. I could go through every song and tell you my impressions; but let me suffice it to say that this CD Rocks! Wishing Bryan, Kol Echad, Josh Nelson and all others that were involved in this project continued inspiration.
