Album Notes
Živé kvety is a Slovak alternative rock band from Bratislava with the only ambition: to write a good song. They play music between folk, rock, country, punkrock, rock'n'roll and czech underground. The band was formed in 1994 by the singer Lucia Piussi and the guitarist Peter Bálik. To this day Živé kvety have released nine albums, one live DVD and one live album. They mostly play in Czech Republic and Slovakia. The last album Oľga, ideš svojim tempom! met with positive reviews from particulary Czech press and was released in 2012. In 2009 they performed in New York with a famous Czech underground band DG 307. In 2012 they were invited to play on a ceremonial Vaclav Havel Tribute Concert several days after president Havel died. Živé kvety are known for their emotional concert performances based on interplay between five members of the group, who try to put music to another level. They sing only in Slovak language, but they also have fans from all over the world because of their strong, honest and meaningfull songwriting.
