Album Notes
Domestic Blitz is a labor of love. Tim and I started this project while I was still trying to complete my last studio album, You Had Me At Goodbye. In fact, I met Tim at Bushwick Studio when my producer Josh Kessler called him and Keith Carlock to be the awesome rhythm section on that last endeavor. I think the day I met Tim, we manically drank coffee, smoked cigarettes and relayed the two big breakups we just went through. I think a common bond was struck. I think back on that day over Josh's kitchen table and can't even imagine who those people were then. We've both been through so much and really changed into, I think, much better and happier people.

That said, Domestic Blitz, is a document of that journey that we both took. It was also a way to make music that we wanted without limitation to genre, song length or marketing strategy. What emerged is something very special. I'm so proud of this album. I'm so lucky to have met, worked with and have a recording with Tim Lefebvre, one of the most stand-up people I know.

In the process of making this record, we called upon a number of amazingly talented musicians from around the globe. I wanted to breakdown the tracks and who contributed to them just so it could be understood how many people it took to make this record. I'm honored to have worked with them. I'm grateful that they liked our music and wanted to be part of it. The tracks and contributors are listed below.

In addition to the music, I wanted to thank Nicole Polec for the photography that captures both the mood of dislocation and the attitude of "don't fuck with me" that is throughout this record. Additional thanks to Summer Tran and Austin Cox who did the art and layout for the cd.

This is a extremely solid first outing from a partnership between two incredibly complimentary talents. Definitely destined for repeat button. This could be a whole soundtrack on it's own. Highly recommend.
